Mom in Progress is back for an exciting new season and, this time, our star, Hannah Williams, is navigating this latest journey while carrying her third son, due next month! We spoke with Williams prior to the launch of season 1 in 2018 and were excited to catch up with the hands-on mom once again, who says she feels grateful that her pregnancy has been going so well.
Mom In Progress is the first original series from Playfull, the millennial parenting brand developed jointly by BuzzFeed and NBCUniversal Digital Enterprises. The series features BuzzFeed executive producer and millennial mom Hannah Williams, as she tackles motherhood at its finest. The episodes are very engaging and actually encourage moms to spend more time with their children. Kids are very imaginative so mixing creativity into the parenting equation makes for a lot of fun.
Williams, who’s also mother to her Mom In Progress co-stars, Jackson, 7, and Wyatt, 4, is committed to showing us authentic motherhood adventures while preparing to bring a new life into the world. “This season focuses on pregnancy…” Williams enthusiastically tells Tinseltown Mom. “…documenting pregnancy is something new for this series. I’m giving our audience an insider look into my pregnancy, as well as ways that I involve my family in the process.” When Williams says she involves her family she’s not exaggerating. In the last episode, she forces her husband and sons to eat her bizarre pregnancy cravings, and admittedly her food choices are quite peculiar, but her family are good sports and hilariously go along with the antics.
As with the last three seasons, Williams infuses her innovative parenting style into each segment making for a combo of entertainment and endearment, and season 4 delivers even more authenticity, a trait the millennial mom is not afraid to express. “… I always try to show the full spectrum of ups and downs, and this season is no different… From documenting my weird cravings to letting my kids plan my baby shower, it’s all very raw and unfiltered.”
The show also touches on Williams’ other passion, cooking. She’s the executive producer of Buzzfeed’s global food brand, Tasty, and regularly looks forward to cooking and baking sweets with her family. She even offers a few tips for the upcoming holidays to make cooking and entertaining a little easier. “Bake cookies/brownies ahead of time and freeze them… It saves me every year. There are only so many hours in the day to cook, wrap gifts, decorate, etc., so having dessert squared away beforehand is a real lifesaver.”
If anyone wants to engage with Williams be sure to watch the show and get your questions in on Instagram! She also replies to comments on BuzzFeed’s Mom in Progress YouTube channel.
Mom In Progress airs Saturdays on the Playfull Facebook Page or on the BuzzFeed Videos’ YouTube Channel.
