The ageless Fox News contributor, Stacey Dash, has warmed our hearts ever since she played the part of Dionne on the blockbuster film, Clueless. The 47-year-old recently spoke with In Style magazine about her iconic film and it’s hard to believe that it’s been almost 20 years since its release! Now, the beautiful mom is grateful she can share this movie with her pre-teen daughter, Lola.
This classic film tells the story of the shallow, rich and socially successful Cher (Alicia Silverstone) who’s at the top of her Beverly Hills high school’s pecking scale. The good-hearted matchmaker coaxes two teachers into dating each other, and even gives the awkward new student Tai (Brittany Murphy) a makeover. When Tai becomes more popular than she is, Cher realizes that her disapproving ex-stepbrother (Paul Rudd) was right about how misguided she was. Thankfully, she’s got her BFF, Dionne (Stacey Dash) by her side.
“I’m so proud to be part of such an iconic film! I have a daughter, so I’m happy I have something I can be proud of and share with her,” Dash tells In Style.
“It was so innovative, and we all got along so well… As much fun as you see on screen, we had every single day. After that movie, Amy Heckerling started a trend, but no movie got it right like Clueless, and no movie got it right since Clueless.”
