Rosie O’ Donnell and Madonna have been friends for over twenty years, and the photo that O’Donnell posted on her Twitter page proved that their friendship goes way… back. The women starred as Mae and Doris in the baseball film, A League of Their Own in 1992. Twenty-three years later the two are still close. O’Donnell captioned the Twitter post: “#TBT me n mo pre kids”
When Madonna was on the Howard Stern Show in March she said that although celebrity friendships are hard to maintain, she and former The View host still keep in touch and hang out. “I adore her,” Madonna said, revealing that the two first bonded because they lost their mothers at a young age. “That was our bonding for sure, but we have other things in common. She has adopted children and so do I. She’s funny and so am I and, I don’t know, we just have the same likes and dislikes…”
