Blake Lively is one of the most sought-after actresses of our time, and the beautiful mom has been honing her craft since she was an adorable curly-haired blonde with a crooked smile. Growing up, Lively’s parents took her with them to acting classes. “My mom and dad always taught acting, so instead of getting me babysitters, they would just bring me to class,” Lively revealed to W Magazine. “..And I’m a naturally shy person, so it really helped. I would’ve just been hiding under the table, pulling on my mother’s dress if I hadn’t been in their classes. It forced me out of my shell.”
The star officially began her acting career at the age of 10, when she appeared in the 1998 film Sandman, which was directed by her father, Ernie Lively. Her break came when she appeared in the film adaptation of the novel of the same name, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, in 2005 as Bridget. She was later cast in the long-running series, The Gossip Girl and has appeared in over twelve films.
