When The Little Couple’s, Dr. Jen Arnold, 39, and her husband, Bill Klein, 38, were on Katie Couric, they spoke candidly about Jen’s courageous battle with cancer.

Arnold, who is a neonatologist at Texas Children’s Hospital, knew something was wrong with her body when she began bleeding heavily, and it wouldn’t stop. If she didn’t return home quickly she faced a blood transfusion in a foreign country where doctors were unfamiliar with the complexities of her dwarfism. She immediately returned to the States, while Bill finalized the process for bringing home their little girl, and that is when the revelation came to light. Jen was diagnosed with stage 3 choriocarcinoma, a rare cancer that occurred after a failed pregnancy in 2013.
After months of intense chemotherapy treatments, Jen and Bill managed to get past the health battle, and now Jen is in remission. Her blood count will still need to be monitored regularly, but she is officially cancer-free!

Baby Zoey joins big brother, Will, 3, who was adopted from China.
While true that the timing couldn’t have been worse for a cancer diagnosis, life’s challenges have a way of making us stronger, and that’s exactly what’s happened to this Little Family.
