Being a parent requires a lot of time, and most of us have a limited supply of that precious commodity, so when it comes to meal preparation we need our go-to cookbooks to keep us moving in the right food direction. TV Personality, Tamera Mowry shared nine of her favorite cookbooks that mom’s need to add to their collection. Whether it’s for making baby food, weight loss or quick and easy recipes, whatever the need there’s a book in this collection for you.

1. Eat. Nourish. Glow. 10 Easy Steps for Losing Weight, Looking Younger & Feeling Healthier by Amelia Freer. This January release will convince you to forget the fad diets and commit to a more holistic approach when it comes to meals. It’s part cookbook, part health how-to – you’ll learn not only what food does to your body, but mind too.

2. The Smitten Kitchen Cookbook by Deb Perelman. Since 2012, this book has become a staple in countless homes of foodies and families alike. If you already follow Perelman’s gorgeous food blog, you know you can count on her for all your food-spiration, but you don’t have to read the blog to fall in love with each recipe. Just make a few of these totally from scratch recipes and you’ll have a new appreciation for food.

3. The 10-Day Green Smoothie Cleanse by JJ Smith. I like this whether or not I am on a cleanse, because it’s packed full of info for juicing and getting your daily intake of greens. It’s also worth a try if you’re just getting into juicing – Smith provides all the help you need to get started, beginning with a shopping list and lots of advice.

4. The Oh She Glows Cookbook by Angela Liddon. First of all, this book has over 100 recipes! Liddon shares her own inspiring journey to health on her blog Oh She Glows, so you can see why there’s a lot of hype surrounding this one. In addition to showing how to whip up fabulous vegan recipes, she also cuts gluten, soy and processed foods from many of her meals, so it’s helpful if you have diet restrictions or simply want to try more minimal recipes every now and then.

5. The Good Housekeeping 400 Healthy Recipes Cookbook. Not only is there a wealth of meals to try here, but they’re easy, healthy and yummy. This is your all-inclusive cookbook complete with everything from hearty soups to vegetarian meals and loads of nutritional info to reference whenever you need.

6. What Chefs Feed Their Kids: Recipes And Techniques For Cultivating A Love of Good Food by Fanae Aaron and Sandy Smith. This book is worth picking up if you have young kids that you want to introduce to the crazy world that is food but aren’t exactly sure where to start. It’s full of stories from you guessed it – chefs with children – as well as 75 delicious recipes to try.

7. How to Cook Everything Fast by Mark Bittman. The name says it all, right?! Recipes are great, but if you simply don’t have the time – what’s the point? Knowing we’re all busy, Bittman offers tips for being more efficient in the kitchen with countless tips on revamping your current routine and everyday meals.

8. Wheat Belly 30-Minute (Or Less!) Cookbook by William Davis. I think by now most people have at least heard the term “wheat belly.” Whether or not you want to say goodbye to wheat forever, these 200 recipes will give you a different perspective on cooking, and can definitely change up your meals every now and then.

9. 201 Organic Baby And Toddler Meals: The Healthiest Toddler and Baby Food Recipes You Can Make! by Tamika L. Gardner. If you’ve got a little one at home like I do, knowing exactly what to do at meal time is a life saver. Making your own baby food can seem overwhelming, but with these ideas, it becomes a lot less daunting. For younger babies, try Gardner’s baby puree cookbook too.
