According to Psychiatric Times, the prevalence of anxiety and depression symptoms in 2020 were substantially higher than reported in 2019, and people with preexisting (clinically diagnosed) psychiatric disorders reported an even higher prevalence of symptoms, compared with those without an established diagnosis.
In an effort to offer hope to those trying to support a loved one with mental illness I’m reposting my interview with Lisa Canning. Not only is Lisa a mother to 8 children, but she’s also a caring wife to her husband Josh, who has depression and anxiety, and on this episode, originally published September 2nd, 2019, she will share her experience with loving a spouse with mental illness.
As an interior designer and lifestyle expert, Lisa helps moms customize their lives and their homes around what matters most. She’s become a recognizable face in the interior design and entertainment industry working on shows such as HGTV’s Marriage Under Construction and Property Brothers, and hosting regular live lifestyle segments on shows like The Marilyn Denis Show.
