Kelly Ripa sat down with Wendy Williams earlier this week and shared her thoughts on discipline when it came to her 13-year-old daughter, Lola.
Williams started off by asking the Live! with Kelly and Michael host if her daughter watched her mom on TV, to which Ripa responded with, “She doesn’t watch my show. She watches your show and she loves your show.”
The beautiful mom went on to say that Lola watches TV on the Internet, however, “She recently lost her computer and phone privileges…so it’s like taking away oxygen.”
The 44-year-old said that Lola broke the rules. “We are very fair parents and we will give you certain freedoms, but when you want privacy in a not private world…You can’t have privacy and be on Instagram. I’m sorry, that’s not how it works. Privacy is for if you want to write a letter or write in your journal. I’m not going to read that. But, if you want to tweet about what a pain in the butt your mom is I’m going to see that.” Ripa revealed that the teenager was texting instead of studying Spanish and as a result got her privileges taken away.
“I don’t think she likes me, but I don’t care. I’m not your friend; I’m your mom.” She went on to say that she felt it was her obligation to keep her living in the real world, which makes us admire the mom of three all the more.
Ripa has been married to actor, Mark Consuelos since 1996 and in addition to their daughter Lola, the good-looking couple have two sons, Michael, 17, and Joaquin, 11.

I think Kelly was right to discipline her daughter.i just have the strangest feeling that when all is said and done the media will make her out to be a heartless tyrant!
