Katherine Heigl had another Facebook Q & A and talked about everything from her new NBC show, State of Affairs, to motherhood, to adoption.
One of her fans asked her which was harder, playing a CIA agent at work or being a mom at home, to which Heigl proudly exclaimed: “Mom at home!! Playing a character on TV or in film can be demanding and stressful but nothing matters more to me than being a good mom so the pressure of that role far outweighs everything else I do!!”
Quite naturally, the mom of two adopted children was asked about the adoption process, and was prompted to give advice. “…I would say that having children no matter how you choose to do that, is the most rewarding, challenging, and joyful experiences (sic) of a mother’s life,” the actress said. “Adoption can be a long and strenuous experience, but so very very worth it in the end! Just stay patient and purposeful! I wish you luck and love on your journey!”
She also talked about her favorite TV show and film that she’s worked on. “State Of Affairs is probably the best television experience I’ve had because I was a part of the concept from the very beginning and the level of involvement I’ve had with bringing it to life makes it that much more precious to me, but overall I’ve had incredible experiences on everything I’ve ever done, including Bride of Chucky!!”
When asked if she regretted anything she’s done in her life, the 36-year-old offered a poignant summation. “I recently read this great quote from Marilyn Monroe that made me rethink some of my regrets… ‘Nothing last (sic) forever, so live it up, drink it down, laugh it off, avoid the drama, take chances and never have regrets because at one point everything you did was exactly what you wanted.'”
