Kate Gosselin has a huge brood, eight kids to be exact. The Kate Plus 8 star shared with her viewers what a day in the life of shopping for a large family really looked like. “It is so normal for me to go to some sort of grocery store everyday,” Gosselin admits. “I’m in total concentration, completely concentrating on how much this is per ounce, versus this store or that store…”
“We use at least 7 loaves of bread a week, …50 bananas a week, 6 pounds of yogurt; we use at least 1 ½ to 2 boxes of cereal per morning, 3 dozen eggs per week… I never, ever buy milk if it’s not on sale.”
And for those moms wishing to give the reality star advice on making simple and easy dinners, she revealed this reality. “With nine people you cannot whip up a quick meal.”
The 40-year-old did offer a silver lining to her shopping challenge. Gosselin shared that because she keeps such a well-stocked home, people will say to her, “If there’s a famine I’m coming here…”
