Instagram Creator Marketplace launched in 2022. It’s a powerful platform that connects eligible creators with brands for paid partnerships and collaborations, directly within the app. If you’re an entrepreneur looking to add another stream of income to your portfolio, this is an opportunity worth exploring. I personally joined the Creator Marketplace two weeks ago, and in this post, I’ll walk you through what it is, who qualifies, how to apply, and how to make the most of it.
Instagram Creator Marketplace is a centralized hub where creators can showcase their content, niche, and audience insights, making it easier for brands to find and partner with them for paid deals. It streamlines influencer marketing by handling everything from discovery to project management within Instagram itself.
Instagram Creator Marketplace Eligibility
- To be eligible, you need to have a Professional Instagram account (either Creator or Business).
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Follow Instagram’s Partner Monetization Policies and Community Guidelines. These guidelines are in place to keep the platform safe and authentic.
Some common reasons creators are denied include past violations of community rules (like posts flagged for hate speech, nudity, or violence), having fake followers or low engagement, reposting too much unoriginal or AI-generated content, being inactive on the platform, having multiple copyright violations, or having incomplete bios or unclear niches.
Before applying, it’s smart to check your account’s status. Go to Settings > Account > Account Status to see if there are any violations or issues that could make you ineligible. Your account needs to be switched to a Creator or Business profile. Then go to your Professional Dashboard, scroll to Branded Content, and look for the Creator Marketplace option. If it shows up, you’re likely eligible. You can also review your compliance with Meta’s monetization policies on their Help Center page.

How to Join Instagram Creator Marketplace
- If you’re ready to apply, switch to a Creator or Business account if you haven’t already.
- From your profile, tap Professional Dashboard at the top, scroll down to Branded Content Tools, and select Creator Marketplace.
- If you’re eligible, you’ll see a “Get Started” button.
- From there, you’ll create your profile by adding niche tags (like motherhood, faith-based lifestyle, wellness), linking your Facebook page, and selecting the types of brand deals you’re open to along with your rate expectations.
Optimize Before Joining Instagram Creator Marketplace
- To stand out, make your niche is clear in both your bio and your content.
- Try posting consistently. Experts say three to five times a week, but do what you have the capacity to do.
- Use captions that tell a story and give value, not just quick promos.
- Show up on Stories daily and engage with your audience by replying to DMs and comments.
- Share posts that shows what a brand collaboration with you could look like, such as tutorials, product features, or unboxings.
Once you’re accepted into the Creator Marketplace, brands can discover your profile and send you opportunities for paid collaborations. You can respond to pitches or even send your own, all within the app. Sponsored posts must be tagged as “Paid Partnership with [Brand Name],” and you can use Meta Business Suite to keep track of performance and manage your brand deals.
One of the biggest myths is that you need a huge following to get paid brand deals. Micro-influencers (with 1K–10K followers) land partnerships every day. What matters most is your niche, your connection with your audience, and how consistent and clear you are. If you’re focused on areas like mom life, faith-based content, ADHD or neurodiverse parenting, beauty, wellness, or purpose-driven entrepreneurship, you’re already in a strong position.
Think of the Creator Marketplace as a legit business opportunity. When you show up with value and professionalism, the income potential is real.
