On episode #52 of Time Out with Tinseltown Mom, I speak with Michelle Payette, a commissioned minister, educator, public speaker, and church partnership manager for the world’s largest prison ministry, Prison Fellowship. She’s also the founder and executive director of Beacon of Light, an organization that educates and reconciles families of the incarcerated.
A Mom in Prison
After spending nearly two years incarcerated in the New York State prison system, Michelle realized she wanted to make a difference by ensuring parents stayed connected with their kids while they served their prison sentences. Currently, she’s devoted to addressing social needs by coming alongside families of the incarcerated and educating community members on how they can do the same.
Today, Michelle is going to talk about her challenging journey of being a mother behind bars, plus what led to the start of her life-changing ministry.
