Drew Barrymore continues to remind us why she is so loved. Many mothers can relate to the difficulties of shedding those pregnancy pounds right after that beautiful baby is born, and Barrymore is no exception. “It took nine months to build. It should take nine months to get off,” she tells People Magazine. “I wanted fettuccini alfredo. I didn’t want a barbell.”
The mom of two adds, “I was like, ‘Don’t talk to me about how fast and fabulous you are’, or it came off. That was not my experience…”
Barrymore is also not afraid to admit that her family is priority number one. “It’s amazing. It’s the driving force behind how I live my life,” the actress says.
The 39-year-old, and husband Will Kopelman have two daughters, 8-month-old Frankie and 2-year-old Olive, and the star revealed that the demands of motherhood causes some things to take a back seat. “The acting has to be less and less because it’s too time-consuming. I love it and I don’t want to abandon it, but it can’t be at the forefront right now.”
