It seems David Arquette has become wiser since becoming a dad again, ten years later.

“Fatherhood the second time around is so great because I have learned from my past mistakes,” Arquette, tells People Magazine. The 43-year-old is also dad to daughter Coco, 10, with former wife Courteney Cox. When Cox was on The Ellen DeGeneres Show earlier this year she said that Coco was nervous about becoming a big sister, but once the shock wore off she was excited.

Arquette and his fiancée Christina McLarty welcomed their son, Charlie West in April, and are said to be “over the moon” as new parents.

“Since Charlie has come into my life, I love Coco more than ever,” the actor explained. “Having a son has brought back memories and made me realize how much I miss enjoying her as a baby… I am older and more mature and can return to raising a baby more aware of the wonderful daily experiences… Watching Charlie crawl is a milestone in my life.”

When the magazine asked the doting dad to share some special moments he’s had with his baby boy the director said, “Having Charlie fall asleep on my chest is the best part of my day… I love it. This whole experience has been amazing.”
