There’s been some baby talk filtering through the political airwaves for quite some time, but the stork has finally arrived for former, First Daughter, Chelsea Clinton, and husband, Marc Mezvinsky. Chelsea made the announcement earlier today, while speaking at a No Ceilings: The Full Participation Project, event sponsored by the Clinton Foundation and Microsoft. The baby is expected to arrive later this year.
In 2012, the NBC News Correspondent revealed to Vogue that she wanted to have children “in a couple of years, hopefully…God willing,” And, last year she told Glamour that she’d like to have a baby in 2014. Well, Clinton sure did make due on those plans!
The 34-year-old and her, investment-banker, hubby have been married since 2010. Chelsea later revealed the good news on Twitter, “Marc and I are so thrilled to be expecting our first child in the fall! Thank you for all of the kind words!”
The future grandparents are esctatic and shared similar posts, also via Twitter. Bill Tweeted, “Excited to add a new line to my Twitter bio…grandfather-to-be! @hillaryclinton and I are so happy for Chelsea and Marc!” And, the former First lady, said, “My most exciting title yet: Grandmother-To-Be! @billclinton and I are thrilled that Chelsea and Marc are expecting their first child!”
